Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes said Sunday he was certain in-demand coach Xabi Alonso would stay with the league leaders beyond this season.
"I'm certain he will stay with us," Rolfes told Sky.
Alonso, 41, has been linked with a move to Chelsea, who sacked Graham Potter last week.
Leverkusen are third in the Bundesliga, two points behind leaders Bayern Munich, and have won their last three league games.
They have also been impressive at home, winning eight of their nine games and scoring 26 goals.
Alonso, a former Spain international, joined Leverkusen in 2023 after a successful spell as coach of Real Madrid's reserve team.
He has quickly turned Leverkusen into a force to be reckoned with, and they are now considered one of the favorites to win the Bundesliga title.
