Grace Norman Eager for Track and Field History as Team USA Paralympian Eyes Gold After Tokyo Heartbreak

A Paralympic Superstar

Grace Norman is an American Paralympic track and field athlete who competes in the T44 classification for athletes with a single below-knee amputation.

Norman is a three-time Paralympic medalist, winning a gold medal in the 400 meters and a bronze medal in the 200 meters at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, and a silver medal in the 400 meters at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo.

She is also a five-time world champion, winning three gold medals in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and 400 meters at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha, and two gold medals in the 200 meters and 400 meters at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai.

Chasing History After Paralympic Heartbreak

Coming off a silver-medal finish in Tokyo, Norman is looking to make history in Paris at the 2024 Summer Paralympics.

Currently holding the world record in the T44 400m, Norman has set her sights on becoming the first female T44 athlete to ever win the gold medal in both the 200m and 400m at the Paralympic Games.

At just 24 years old, Norman has already accomplished so much in her career, so it’s scary to think of what she could accomplish in the next three years leading up to Paris.
