Boeing
Boeing Co. shares rose 1.5% in premarket trading Tuesday after the company announced a deal to sell 20 737 MAX jets to an unidentified customer. The deal is valued at approximately $2.4 billion at list prices. Boeing shares have gained 18% this year, outperforming the S&P 500 index, which has fallen 1.5%.
Dell
Dell Technologies Inc. shares gained 1.3% in premarket trading Tuesday after the company reported better-than-expected earnings and revenue for its fiscal first quarter. The company reported earnings per share of $1.05 on revenue of $26.1 billion. Analysts had expected earnings per share of 99 cents on revenue of $25.6 billion. Dell shares have gained 12% this year, outperforming the S&P 500 index.
Merck
Merck & Co. Inc. shares rose 1.1% in premarket trading Tuesday after the company announced positive results from a late-stage trial of its experimental cancer drug, Keytruda. The drug was found to be effective in treating patients with a type of lung cancer called mesothelioma. Merck shares have gained 10% this year, outperforming the S&P 500 index.
